This position is ideal for a licensed litigation attorney who wants to be the primary handling attorney on own case load, or a candidate looking to develop complex litigation skills

Job Details

Responsibilities:
1. Represent clients in court or before government agencies, presenting evidence to defend or prosecute lawsuits.
2. Advise clients concerning business transactions, claim liability, advisability of prosecuting or defending lawsuits, or legal rights and obligations.
3. Interpret laws, rulings, and regulations for individuals and businesses.
4. Prepare and draft legal documents, such as wills, deeds, patent applications, mortgages, leases, and contracts.
5. Negotiate settlements of civil disputes.
6. Conduct legal research and analysis of law sources such as statutes, legal articles, and legal codes to prepare legal documents, draft legal opinions, and determine causes of action.
7. Direct and coordinate law office activity, including delivery of legal advice and preparation of legal documents.
8. Specialize in areas of law, such as civil litigation, corporate law, and other related areas.

Qualifications:
1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. Admitted to the state bar and in good standing or otherwise authorized to practice law in the state.
3. Minimum of 2 years of law firm experience in civil litigation and corporate law.
4. Solid knowledge of corporate law principles, procedures, and legal codes.
5. Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret laws, rulings, and regulations in legal documents.
6. Demonstrated ability to draft and interpret legal documents, manage complex legal issues, and provide innovative legal solutions.
7. Excellent negotiation skills with a proven track record of successfully resolving disputes.
8. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
9. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
10. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, set priorities, and meet deadlines.
