Lab Solutions Chapter is a fast-paced, highly interdisciplinary,
and technical team of people with the ambitious goal of disrupting
the practice of Pathology by creating innovative algorithms using
AI technologies to improve the lives of cancer patients. In this
Chapter, we have an exciting opportunity for a Principal Data
ManagerThe Opportunity:
- The Principal Digital Pathology Data Manager will work with the
Technical Algorithm Development Leads to define data needs for the
Digital Pathology Algorithm Development Project This includes
sources of data, data requirements & lifecycle: timelines,
quantity, quality, cohort composition & partitioning, fit for
development purpose, confidentiality level, end of lifecycle
requirements, etc.; Data Saliency and handling of PHI/Non-PHI Data.
You will also author SOPs for Data Handling
- Define standard processes for Data Management. This includes:
Identify and oversee implementation of platforms for data
management: On-prem, Secure Cloud Storage, Secure Store; Establish
& map data handling processes. Streamline and optimize data
management: delivery time, cost, quality control; Data governance:
ownership, stewardship, access control
- Develop and implement a strategy for sustainable, scalable
fit-for-purpose data management; Establish and implement data
models & definitions, mapping schemes (e.g. client's data formats
to standard vocabulary, CDISC compatible format); Work with the
technical development team to integrate DataOps and MLOps tools &
practices for improved algo dev productivity and reliability
- Scripting using Python or R for generating Data Management
tasks for Research Associate and or Pathologists
- Oversee the data workflow for the project, including data
sourcing, ingestion, and selection; Generate Dashboards for
tracking Annotation and Data collection status
- Internal and external collaborations: Lead Research Associates
on how to set up projects on internal or external portals for
Quality Control / Annotation Collection; Engage external vendors
for onboarding Pathologists using SOW/PO engagementWho you are:
- You must have a Master's degree in Data Management, Data
Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, Bioinformatics
and Data Management or related field
- You have 6 years of experience of working in data management
(i.e. sources of data, data requirements & lifecycle, timelines,
quality, quality, confidentiality etc)
- You have 6 years experience of managing clinical (imaging
preferred) datasets for large studies
- You have 6 years of experience in Python and/or R for
generating data management tasks
- Prior experience working with On-Prem and Cloud data
management
- You have experience of interacting with external stakeholders
and vendors (i.e. for onboarding Pathologists using SOW/PO
engagement)Preferred:
- You have experience translating clinical data to Pathologist
and/or Research Associates
- You have prior experience working for Biotech/Pharma The
expected salary range for this position is based on the primary
location of Santa Clara, CA 165,200-306,800 Actual pay will be
determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic
location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A
