PURPOSEIn this challenging and rewarding role, you will contribute
to the Investment Accounting team. This position requires effective
technical accounting skills, strong financial stewardship, and
commitment to governance processes.The Real Estate Accounting
Manager will support the Senior Real Estate Accounting Manager and
Staff Accountants by performing complex accounting functions. This
newly created position focuses on managing and monitoring the
accounting for the University's real estate properties. The ideal
candidate will be a highly motivated and experienced individual
with a strong real estate accounting, financial reporting, and
operational support background.This position demands a flexible,
detail-oriented mindset, a genuine enthusiasm for the work, and a
collaborative, dynamic approach to problem-solving. The individual
will work closely with internal departments, such as Stanford
Management Company, Stanford Land Building Real Estate, Faculty
Staff Housing, and external property managers, ensuring accurate
and timely accounting and reporting of real estate properties.
Strong communication skills are essential for coordinating
processes across various departments.Additionally, the individual
will leverage leadership and analytical skills to handle complex
financial matters while ensuring compliance with industry
regulations and internal policies. The ideal candidate will be
skilled in problem-solving, process improvement, and implementing
best practices for reporting and controls.
